WATCH: Clinton Dodges Shoe; Fox News Says Bush Did It Better

Hillary Clinton’s speech to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries conference in Las Vegas, Nevada turned ugly on Thursday night, when a woman threw her shoe at the former secretary of state.

The woman was immediately taken into custody by security at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino; her reason for the attack is not yet clear.

Clinton responded to the incident with class, joking, “My goodness, I didn’t know that solid waste management was so controversial…Thank goodness she didn’t play softball like I did.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the folks at Fox News offered a less dignified response. Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade took the opportunity to declare that former president George W. Bush is much better at dodging shoes:
